Fatty pants!

This last bite of lasagna requested my full attention. Yes, it was on my daughter’s plate, but it called to me, mocking my weakness. Finally, through the thick ricotta, meat sauce and pasta, the lasagna sounded in a monstrous reverberation that shook me to my very core.
“Eat me, you fat *******!” The lasagna said to me.
And so I did.

For Your Sins

“Yeah I’m angry I got caught. You would be too! All those virgins? I didn’t know they could be so deceitful.”

He shook his head sadly; a lock of white hair fell in front of his eyes. The hangman didn’t seem to care.

A guard forced him towards the noose. “It’s not my fault I’m attracted to them!” he cried. He struggled desperately, hooves slipping on the wooden platform. “Everybody knows unicorns are horny!”

Flesh and Blood

Pyett stood atop the temple-palace, rapier dripping with the blood of indolent priest-kings. Proudly, he watched Qaztlan burn.

Below him, mercenaries laughed and shouted, drunk on altar wine, staggering under looted gold. Flames crackled and slave girls screamed.

Whatever his men did to them, Pyett thought, would be the lesser evil. Choking on rage, he remembered the temple refectory. Sellswords might ravish the girls, but they wouldn’t feast upon their flesh.

through broken teeth

The prince waited, waited until the zealot’s screams subsided.

Each finger had been snapped.

Both kneecaps split.

One eye punctured.

“Every man receives their due,” the prince’s voice sank into blood. “It is over. I choose mercy.”

The iron bars dissolved.

And he turned away from the wreck and smell of human filth, beatific through sin.

“Too bad,” the zealot spat through broken teeth, “because I choose revenge.”

A dagger spun from his ragged sleeve.

End

They looked upon the ruins of the world, the last two people.

“How-?”

“Us. Only us.”

There was dust and rocks.

And then one bent. A tiny flower had defied the destruction.

“It’s...beautiful.” He stroked the bright petals. A yellow almost too bright to look at. “I’ll look after you, little one.”

The other watched. His hand closed on a rock and lifted it high.

SERMON TO THE CHILDREN OF THE TRUE CHURCH

Hear me, and hear me well.

You say they are legal. True. But know ye: all crimes start with sin.

Take Literacy: it can so easily lead to the crime of Writing. A few scribbled notes can lose you a finger.

Curiosity becomes the crime of Questioning which will deprive you of anything from your tongue to your life.

The same for: Imagination, Independence, Benevolence, Happiness, and finally Courage – the basis of all crime.

Who's a GOOD BOY?!

Dog chases dog and tears out its throat.

Dog sees dog and steals its food.

Dog eats until it can't move.

Dog catches dog and breeds.

The potion wore off and he woke, matted and bloody. Quakes of revulsion fought inside him with a rank ecstasy. He vomited; bits of hair and skin, half digested garbage, God knew what else.

And then, insane laughter - "I'm the only one! Better than them ALL!"

Sins

What is my sin, you ask?

I am guilty of all sins.

Pride? Always.

Lust? Naturally.

Envy? Certainly.

Sloth? Gluttony? Greed? Of course.

Wrath? Oh, so very much wrath.

But why stop at seven?

Extravagance?

Dishonor?

Cruelty?

Despair?

Indeed.

Treachery?

Deceit?

Apathy?

Hate?

All these.

There are more, I know.

And, more to the point, you know.

Because, you see, the truth is simple.

For I created sin, and mastered it.

I am humanity.
