Something about frogs and that

Hi Mouse.

Good piece, really enjoyed it. I definitely got the 'spoilt and bratty' vibe. I don't know if I would want to read a whole novel with Carla as the main character; though I suppose this is only a small window into her personality.

Do you have a target audience in mind? I don't know if the 'blackness' of the humour would work so well with YA, but I had a good chuckle throughout.

If she were very squeamish, she might have pressed down on the creature with only the end of her foot.

(Or does that only work with a toad....)

Ribbiting stuff... surprised Ursa missed that one. I agree with the consensus - squashed frog is a bit far: maybe she wants to push it away with her foot, and is too squeamish, trying to gather courage to do it...

Q:How deep should a frog pond be? A:Kneedeep!

Ha! Was wondering when the frog jokes would start. :p

Anybody read/know of the original Frog Prince story? The princess doesn't kiss the frog and turn him into a prince, she throws him against a wall!! I much prefer that version! :D I was going to have Carla stamp on the frog to turn him into the prince, but she wouldn't do it, so I had to go for the exploding.

Nice way to say an old story. I really saw the skin part on her lip:p. That was disgusting, but I enjoyed the experience. I am curious to see the work completed.

Ta! Yeah the skin bit is pretty grim!

I was going to post some more of this, but the next section is a wee bit cheeky, so I'm not sure if I can/should!

Wee bit? Just a weeeeeeeeee lil' bit? You could censor out anything and the feverish imaginations in here would supply something even cheekier. Mine would, anyway.

I did a Frog Prince send-up, waaay back in the days of paper and now I have to go find it. In it, Prince Charming kills the guy who treated him mean when he was a frog. Bring on the cheekosity!

Given The Mo is the author, I'm sure the social activity is not confined to going to a hop.

(And no, I'm not old enough to have been to one.)

Heh heh!

Yeah, go dig that one out, J Riff, it sounds good!
