No, I didn't think you were nit-picking, only querying the name change. I wasn't trying to pick on you at all (since I was the one who used the phrase nit-picking). It's more that, as a Lord of the Rings fan, I remember all the complaints around the web when the films were released about how it was "different from the book" and I wonder if we might see something of the same here.
I'm determined to enjoy the show as much as I possibly can, and I actually think it will be interesting to see how they work round the problem of portraying a character's mindset, motivation and loyalties. It's easy in a book, as the reader has access to the character's thoughts, but sometimes a bit of jumping through hoops is required to get the message across on TV. (And this is also why I have always enjoyed the book version of a story far more than a TV/film version. You just get far more out of it.)
