Here be dragons!

Forgot about Gordon R. Dickson's series! I liked almost all of them (but I'm silly like that anyway!). And I had no idea Katherine Kerr had a dragon series. Something to add to my TBR list!

Don't bother with Paolini. He just unashamedly ripped off Anne McCaffery's Pern stuff, mashed it together with Star Wars, and threw in a few bits and pieces from other authors to make a nice, muddy plagiarized stew. Had his parents not been publishers, he wouldn't have got anywhere near a book contract.

Paolini is proof that if you market "crap" as "child prodigy literature", someone will buy it.

For the most part I feel that I am pretty much over dragons. Which is why I was a bit surprised by how much I liked Carol Berg's The Song of the Beast.

I love Carol Berg! Have you read her latest...um...can't remember the title. The sequel is Soul Mirror. Ah, The Spirit Lens. Thank you Google. I enjoyed it very much. No dragons though ;-)
