If I were skipping chapters I would skip the Davos ones. I wish he would grow himself a spine.

Too bad. It is so. I really do not like Tyrion as a character, although I know he is a hot favorite among many people.

Don't skip any chapters. Skipping chapters defeats whole point of GRRM's effort to bring us such great work in fantasy. If you find some chapters less interesting, suck it up, they are all part of the Story.

LOL, I'd skip the Iron Islanders, except maybe Asha. But I hope the rest of them sink! But I'd never skip Tyrion. Never ever ever!

Same for me. I just skim through the chapters of euron, victarion, ash etc (not theon though).

Oh, dear, going to be in trouble here. Book one and two, didn't skip any. Book three, very few - mostly Dany, who was starting to wear. Then, to be honest, I didn't skip any, I skimmed. Pretty much the rest. Apart from Tyrion, who I like, and Jon. The rest, sorry, I skimmed. And I was disappointed, I really wanted to enjoy it, I was set up to enjoy it after the first two books, and then so much padding... Will I buy the next book: I'm not sure. I'll probably stand and skim it in Tesco's, and read the threads here.

What a diverse group of character preferences. Tyrion and Arya, I never thought readers would not be in to those two. I'm all about individual choice so if skipping chapters is your thing, do it. We all read for enjoyment, so if that's your preference who I am to judge...

Not my cup of tea though. I love soaking up every detail, and only browse when I'm researching a particular point. I have a very different take on Meereen than many people and I have a long post for the ADWD thread stewing in my brain. It's a full on game of thrones there, and on my reread I was really looking forward to getting to those chapters. For now, all I have to say is that Barry motha effing Selmy BMFS is the Chuck Norris of Westoros.
