Seems like a lot of fans are disappointed.
Anyway, what do you think?

I'll reserve my judgment for when the film comes out. Set photos taken out of context - or, rather, in the context of reality - almost always look underwhelming.

I agree, she's lovely, but, I'll have to see her act.

For example, I've never seen the actress in Iron Man 2 who portrayed Black Widow before, but she was AWESOME. Scarlett Johansson was just like the comic book character, a wonderful blend of "Beauty and the Beast".

Is that Anne Hathaway? From these pics, she's got that Trinity from Matrix thing going. Girls and bikes. Wonder if she fights in slo-mo, too.

I agree very much.
I was not real excited when I heard Anne Hathaway was playing the part, but I remembered saying "Heath Ledger as Joker??? Heath Ledger???? HEATH LEDGER??"

So with a great director and a great actor they went on to create one of the best villians of all time.
I was happily wrong.
I'm sure everything will be cool with Anne as catwoman, Selena.

No idea what I think of her acting, but I don't think I like the suit.

You'd never seen Scarlett Johansson before Iron Man 2? I agree she's the perfect Black Widow, can't wait to see her, Robert Downey Jr., and Samuel L. Jackson in the new Avengers movie.

I have more issues with Bane, to be honest, and worries over the garbled speech. As for Ledger, the minute he was cast I thought he was perfect. As for all the Jack Nicholson fans, Batman/Batman Returns were completely different thematically, as were Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. I fear that Megan Fox or Olivia Wilde would take the series in a direction that Nolan has assiduously avoided, namely that of the 'compromise everything for commercial appeal' route. We know how that ends, with dialogue such as 'You are not sending me to da cooler', 'Everybody freeze', and 'Chill out', or perhaps with bad guys rollerblading for absolutely no tactically advantageous reason. Style over substance.

Nolan hasn't let me down yet with anything he's done, so I'm going to go on faith.

I'm not *too* worried over the garbled speach. The prologue video seemed to be quite low quality. I've seen Bane speak in another trailer and could hear him just fine.

I know it’s becoming a bit of a clichéd complaint. But I’m getting sick to the back teeth of all the reboots. Revisiting a movie and coming out with a remake is one thing and is nothing new itself ; ), but given the wealth of written material to draw from it’s getting a bit ridiculous now.

It's just me that miss her older costumes? Even the new one from Arkhan City was better...

I think the reboot was justified with the Batman franchise. Batman & Robin lured the old one into an alley then murdered it with an icepick.

nolan seems to be good at casting actors in my opinion. i have also seen some of her movies as well.

for me, there's no reason to think she's bad at being cat women- i need to see the move for myself first.

Anne Hathaway was really good as Catwoman, surprised me. I thought she'd be the weakest link in the movie.

Anna Hathaway was a big surprise to me too, she was elegant, sexy and could take care of selves. Easily the best Catwoman on film so far. I know i have enjoyed many Catwoman comics and she is much better than Phieffer.

Anne Hathaway was a brilliant Catwoman. Tough, beautiful, well matched with Bruce and Bats. Truly the only weak point of this movie was Bane...
Anyway its very difficult to compare a Burton film to a Nolan one. Considering Comic book gloom compared to gritty OTT realism is a hard match up. Frankly i'd put them as about even. Pfeiffer's Catwoman worked exceptionally well as the anti-villain counterpart to bats for the Batman Return.
Hathaway's Catwoman is actually more like the comic than Burton's Pfeiffer-Cat, and her fight scenes are perfect for our cat... loved the boots... definitely painful to walk in... ;)

I thought she was really good - I loved her in those killer heels - her legs looked amazing!!!!

I loved her fight scenes too, very impressed!

Easily the best depiction of Catwoman IMO, Anne Hathaway projected all the important layers of the comic book Catwoman; the haunting past, the emotional issues, the anger, the innocence, the martial skills, the loneliness, the schemer, the grace and beauty, and most importantly a desire for redemption.

BTW did anyone get goosebumps during the scenes where Batman is inside the Bat? I kept getting flashbacks of Keaton inside Burton's Batwing only I was looking at something more futuristic and darker.

Very strange experience, I wonder whether some kid watching TDKR today will be feeling the same thing twenty years from now with the early 2030s reboot that without a doubt will be greenlit.

I have never liked Anne Hathaway in anything I have seen her in until the latest Batman movie. Here I thought she was the only good thing about the movie and she was absolutely fantastic.

I will never forget her deadpan line about not feeling as strongly about guns as Batman. :)
