Mister Oy, my apologies for not responding sooner. I was at work when I posted that thought... I did not have any ASOIAF books on me.... so I cheated... I picked that thought from this very thread... Page 108, Post #2,148 by Tywin. My rationalization was that it would be better to keep the game going than maybe for me to not post for twenty-four hours... Sorry. I don't know the reference...
