i think the come-uppance of House Frey is the one thing readers of these books will not tolerate to NOT happen. Almost everything else is up for grabs/author's discretion, BUT not the near or total obliteration of House Frey.
 
really? I liked Robb's squire though.
And isn't Edmure's wife a frey as well.

I agree, and furthermore, i think that GRRM will have the twin towers (of Frey) come down in Westeros as they did a decade ago in RL.
