Graphic Novels, what length is appropriate?

Initially, and for the reasons you'd mentioned, that is why I'd felt Radical to be the appropriate channel for the material. I talk in small portions to and fro with someone in their creative department in a cordial manner via e-mail to keep the lines of discourse open. I've thought that hiring an agent would be the only true method to get this thing up and running.

What I really need is an editor. I've a terrible degree of "inactive" ADD and for the lack of a better explanation, have literally dozens of different things running unchecked through my head at any given time. Focus and, particularly grammar, being not of my strongest suits, I've trouble forming thoughts that are clear to others. Unless they're ADD as well, of course.

That's good. Networking is key. Again, I'm not sure how attracted Radical would be to your story due to the length, like mentioned. But it wouldn't hurt asking them what their stance are on length, and such. But seeing as they pair writers with artists and pay for the whole shebang, I doubt they want to risk such a project to an unknown writer. Bringing up the guessing calculator, these are the numbers: 600 pages, $120 per page to penciller/inker, $100 per page to colorist, $10 per page to letterer, $40 per page to writer, that totals in at $162 000. On untried property, without any fanbase. If it doesn't hit the movies and becomes a franchise, then that means Radical is your wreakage of a chopper.

An editor or co-writer would definitely help, especially since it's such a big project.

I'd offer my editorial skills for co-ownership if I had the time. I'm packed, unfortunately. I have a similar project in scale which I'm working on with another writer. So you're not alone.

Again, the little advise that you've given, is very huge in my eyes so thank you. This was the purpose of create an account on this forum.

I'm afraid my favorite portion of the whole process is dialogue and character creation. If only there were a way to project what I see and have it written as words, I'd be done with the whole series by now.
