Aspiring Writers- Beware 'The Write Agenda'- scammer's web site!

It would be nice if, like Writer Beware, TWA could tell us who they are instead of hiding behind
We are a group of individuals, writers, want-to-be authors and inquisitive wordsmiths
As far as I can tell that's it. There is no other open identification of who they are.

Actually I don't think it's a big thing since the whole site is so obviously a personal attack on perhaps three people that I don't believe anyone with more than a gramme of grey material between their ears could possibly read more than a couple of paragraphs without realising just how preposterous the whole site is.

Actually in a rather perverse way it's really quite a complement to Victoria Strauss et al. That someone(s) would spend so much time writing so many pages that amount to no more than a personal attack on three or four individuals. I mean can anyone find a single page that doesn't mention Victoria Strauss at least once?

Isn't it adorable that these 'wordsmiths' can't spell "infringement". Bless.

(it's on the page about Ann Crispin calling the site 'a hate site' -- the first reference at the bottom of the 'article')

Well, I've spoken with her on Facebook and she certainly see's it that way!

We should all take some joy, no matter how small, in the fact that the publishing scam cabal at large really don't think much of the SF and Fantasy community. We're tight-knit, net-savvy and have that disgusting habit of 'paying it forwards' to newcomers who might not be clued in to how the game works.

Everything the scammers hate...

They're no longer on Twitter! We have de-twittulated them with our constant, weapons grade snark! Go us!

(Mucho credit to Chopper for his tireless efforts.)

i can take no credit at all - either they had a second account, or i failed to do my research.... they are @thewriteagenda1 and they are still there. feel free to ask them why they condone burning books, if you have a twitter account, peeps. you may not receive a reply, but the question is free...

Oh bum. Ah well, let's spread disinformation that they have gone. See if they can take what they dish out!

turns out they can't take it after all - their twitter account, @thewriteagenda1, is now "protected" - which means that only those who have already signed up to their dross can actually read it. hardly mass market propaganda, is it? J-WO - are you still on the inside there? are they saying anything interesting? or anything at all? owt about the book burning?

(i'd sign up, but i've been royally needling them all week and somehow i don't think they'd let me in...)

Oh, just the usual crap. And just as unapologetic about their threatened Nazi LARP session.

I don't know whether to keep a low profile and watch what they are doing there or to keep writing nasty comments and see whether they kick me off or not.

In a frankly bizarre move, The Write Agenda are now making overtures to infamous man of the moment, Quentin Rowan, he of the plagiarised spy novel.

I'm not kidding; scroll down the comments section of QR's explanation piece here in The Fix and there it is. There must be less conspicuous ways to... well, I don't even know what they're doing anymore! Nutters...

oh, what idiots! it's kinda like a less-than-substandard "Villains United"!
