Goblin Moon Available on Kindle -- now

They switched trailers on me! They brought back the one I supposedly trashed and removed the one that I uploaded last night. I don't know why or how they did that. But I've uploaded the new one again, and it should be visible any time now.

Edit -- Yes, it's there right now.

Is it possible you were logged into the .co.uk site instead of the .com one, Teresa? I saw the updated trailer on the UK site, while the shorter trailer was on the US one.

I don't think so. I am 99% sure I checked it out at the page with the link before posting the link. But the new one did stay there on amazon.co.uk.

Aha!

Now I really like that, it really catches the flavour of the novel. (Yup saw the swan this time and the poem at the end).

Also saw the Perpetual Man slip through the video halfway through, which made me day.

(Okay, okay I know it was Leonardo's Vitruvian Man... but I can dream)

If they are silly again, the new one is there on Facebook ... for those who have Facebook, which I know you two do.

Book trailer, awesome stuff! Makes me want to read the book - thank goodness I have it!

Now if you can only find the time! (Or have the interruptions eased up?)

I hope it makes other people want to read the book.

Still struggling to find time :( Mostly I come home after long work days, do the work needed here to run the house, and then collapse asleep! Still, I *do* have a bit of vacation coming up just after Christmas, so there's hope!

I'm loving the whole setting of the book and the style of it, the fact it's not "high fantasy" in a world of mystical elves and what have you, but has a strong historical feel to it and where the fantasy elements are subtle. A very refreshing change.

As soon as I am done (and that is "soon as" rather than "soon" :( ) I will do some reviewing!

Thank you! I was pretty tired of High Fantasy when I wrote it. I go back and forth, how I feel about Medieval-style fantasy, because I was interested in the period long before everyone started writing about it. (In my defense, I've never written about mystical elves.)

I'd like to go back to writing stories in an 18th-century-type setting when I finish writing the Madeline Howard books. Since I get to choose now, that's probably what will happen.

Hi Teresa!
I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the effort you spend on this reissue. In the meantime I read too many good books which were partly ruined by careless digitalisation. It must have been very time-consuming to get this nearly perfect new version. Only in one chapter a few missing prepositions ecaped your notice.
All the best for your future projects and your private life!

Hi, Liese (and thanks).

Are the missing prepositions in the Kindle edition? Do you remember the scene? The original edition was, of course, copy edited and I only made a few changes for this edition, typed in by a friend who works as a copy editor. In theory it ought to be error free, though that's no guarantee that is.

But, very strangely, I've found that not all downloads are the same, though they should be since I only uploaded it once! Someone asked me about a missing line that is right there in plain sight when we read the book on my husband's Kindle reader.

Hi Teresa,
I had to check the book (I own the reprint, no ebooks for me) for the right chapter. There are a handful of small words (prepositions and "is") missing throughout chapter 20. I only noticed because this does not occur in the rest of the book. My grandfather was a printer and he always said that there are errors in every book. I also noticed that Sera acquired a thirteenth godparent in chapter 8.
I love your heros, they are neither superheros nor so stupid you want to hit them. All my family also loves the book and the reprint already looks as if it were old.

Nice trailer, Teresa! I hope things are starting to look up for you. The re-release of Goblin Moon seems like a really good thing. Since I so thoroughly enjoyed The Queen's Necklace (and, of course, The Rune of Unmaking), I'll have to pick up a copy. Looking forward to it.
