I'm the sort of person who never reads instruction manuals. I learn by playing with it until it works (that sounds kinky in my head!) I never took notes at college either, I'd be the only person in the class sitting there without a notebook. At work now, my officemate writes everything down whereas I just keep doing what I'm doing until I find a way to do it better.
