Theon Greyjoy: Hero, great human being, and my favorite character.

Spoilers and rank speculation...

Do you think Stannis would be open to a deal, proposed by Asha? Theon could give her tactical information about Winterfell. She may negotiate to save her own life, get a little Greyjoy revenge, and perhaps, as you say, Arsten, send Theon to the wall. I wonder what Jon would do--if he is still in the realm of the living, and still Commander. Past deeds are supposed to be forgotten in the Nightwatch and Jon is pragmatic and conscientious! Theon could tell him about the false Arya. ???

And theon never actually killed jons brothers ( rickon and bran) so as far as him being pissed about wat he did to them he only actually had them as hostages which he later lost. He killed 2 farmer boys that would appear to be like them to save his name amoung his men. Still not a nice thing to do but less painful then to think his brothers actually dead. Also the fact he can speak as to who the fake araya really is.... stannis is all white and black though no grey areas idk if hed make any deal w asha or let theon take the black ( that is if atannis is even still alive)

Well while we're going down the path of rank speculation.....

Theon is technically a eunuch now. Perhaps he could become the next Varys. :D

Juleska, Theon didn't seem politically minded enough to be another Varys, with or without! I suppose the Wall seems the kindest outcome or some sort of redemption (although he did save Jeyne and they actually do seem to be have a kind of bond).

I don't know if Jon will know that Theon didn't kill his brothers.. The trouble with claiming atrocities is, well you tick people off? Theon did betray Robb and take Winterfell, kill Mikken (is that the blacksmith?) Just wondering what the fate of his character will be now!

Stannis, I don't know, sometimes he listens to suggestions, sometimes no. He courted the Wulls and the Flints, and let Melisandre do her thing with Renly.

I still would like to see Ramsey with Asha's axe between the eyes. Unless GRRM makes me sorry for him too! Ramsey will get his, that seems likely according to Joffrey's Rule. How is another matter! Candidates for the deed are Asha, Arya, Theon, Roose (I think he is getting nervous), Mance, or...I'm not sure.

As I've said before, the problem with being a dangerous homocidal maniac in the world of GRRM is that you are surrounded by dangerous homocidal non-maniacs who react to danger not by running from it but by removing it.

I think that the list of those that could/will kill Ramsay is as long as the list of lords in the north. The only thing that shortens the list is the author's need to make the death dramatic and meaningful.

after reading the teaser chapter for WoW, Stannis seems to be unsure of what to do with Theon. We still don't know if Stannis is going to live, as this chapter could have talen place before the letter was sent, but who knows.

we do know that Stanniz doesn't quite want Theon dead. at least not yet, hence keeping theon in the tower to protect him from stannis' own men and the northerners. The best course of action for Theon right now, in my opinion, is to admit that he didn't kill the stark boys. That wat the northern men wouldnt be quite so peeved at him, and Stannis could try to find Rickon, (he would probably try to find Bran too, but he won't be successful) use rickon to gain more northerner support and take back winterfel. The problem with all of this is that Theon isn't thinking too clearly.

Yes, it would be best if he told people that the Stark boys may be alive. More humiliation if he wished to go back to the Iron Islands. Do you think Asha wanted to put Theon out of his misery or did she have a rescue and escape up her sleeve?

Tywin, definitely there would be a few characters that would fit the bill more realistically, if GRRM so desired to have Ramsay found in a snow drift. I would like to think that non manaical homicides would dispose of him! Still, dramatic logic rules, I believe. Can't be that many that would create a satisfying end, and I can't see Ramsay surviving the series.
