Y.A.D.L. is growing exponentially

The Ygritte Anti-Defamation League, I believe.

(And definitely not the Yellowing, Asymmetrical Dental Look.)

I thought it was the coalition against Daenerys... the Yunkai-Astapor Defense League. Or was it the King's Landing soap opera... Yesterday, All Dragons Lived... Or was it Mirri Maaz Duur's slogan... Yanking At Drogo's Life. Or was it Dany's battlecry... Yes, A Dragon Lives!

But, Ygritte, you say?!?! Nah, I don't even like her!

mtzGr, sorry, just checking. I've only seen the name Metzger twice in my life and the first was my father's prof at ND.

Y.A.D.L., and Ursa has the acronym right, has nothing to do with yanking on anything attached to Drogo.

Thankfully.

God gave me stubby man hands.

In all seriousness, I've always contended that Ygritte was an awesome character that formed Jon into the man he became, is becoming, or was...depending on your perspective.

My opinion was in the minority, so I had to League up.

Sign me up for Y.A.D.L., love them reds, and it is true JON DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ;)

Cul, arrogance and ignorance are two sides of my one and only coin. Of course you and I and I thought, Aegon the Unworthy were the Dacey fans. The D.M.A.S.? That works for me. Mmmmmmmm, Dacey.

Now... who were the founding members of the Westerosi Introduction To Cersei Hating?

I will agree that her character was important for Jon's character development (and I don't mean his literary character), but I also think her death was necessary (from a literary standpoint) and I was growing bored with her, so I was happy to see the story move on without her.

I suppose you could call me a Y.A.D.L. sympathizer....but not a member.

I personaly liked Ygritt. She was such a bad a--. Above being a pretty cool chick, she helped explain alot of the goings on of the free folk, not that it matters really because the free folk are no longer free, but it helped in the story line.

As far as her helping develop Jon's character, I think it would have been better if he did find his goose-feathered arrow in her chest. It would have been a bigger test of his strength in carrying out his duties.

Wiggum, sign me up for YADL.

I guess, now that i know what Y.A.D.L. is, i'm a member. I liked her in the books and like her in the show. Ain't got nuthin' against her- Go Ygritte!

Spoiler Alert for ACOK.

You know I am the chief anti-Ygritte hater, but after Jon killed Qhorin in the last episode of season two and Ygritte threw back her hood and said, "Come on, Jon Snow"... well, I softened towards her a little bit. In the books she's always cold, mocking, pig headed, or randy. But in that instance, she was soft... and I liked it.
