A thought about Game of Thrones on TV

The song was definitely known before the Red Wedding in the books. I think that could be the reason they showed it, so they can then use it in the same way as the books, as the signal to carnage at the Red Wedding, and viewers will know what the relevance of it is.

That rap song is pretty nice, I like the Adam Warrock one as well, it shows up in the related videos. Or here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtKCDlpTEKs

I agree, i liked that one as well. Thanks for pointing it out.

I loved the first book and was always ahead of the first season, but now I am quite behind in ACOK compared to the show. Will I ruin the reading pleasure or should I just carry on with the book even though the show is quite far ahead? I didn't have time to read while I was in the UK as I did quite a bit of touring and the show carried on in my country.

I had thought the Blackwater would be the finale, so was a little prepared for a slow let down in the last episode - but loved it. Loved the pathos, the way so much was wrapped up ready for season 3. And the scene at the end with the wights approaching was very dramatic. Anyone else notice the ice coming off the lead wight?

Personally, I watched season one of the show first, with my 2 roomates, and the three of us loved it and subsequently went out and got all the books. I didn't think reading the book after watching the show diminished it in any way. Some things might not come as such a shock to you, but the show obviously leaves out allot of backstory simply because it can't fit it all in. Now that I have read all the books, season 2 of the show wasn't as amaving to me because I knew more about what was changed and kept thinking "that wasn't supposed to happen like that".

I am on page 130 of ACOK and it's still very enjoyable. When I finish it I will go directly onto ASOS and read that one before season 3. I actually have forgotten some of the story in season 2 so now the book is helping me catch up and go more in depth into the characters and plot.
