I know. I'd actually expect that any educated person would know what sans means, having taken French or not.

And being entertaining is part of my job description
 
Ursa, I suppose the French response is "pas de probleme"!
I knew I should have taken French instead of Latin, but I liked not to have to worry about the whole speaking and composition part.;) German seems easier to comprehend and more difficult to read than French--probably has to do with grammar and rhythm for an English speaker.

Perhaps the anti sansa idea popped into my head because i was reading a book on chaos theory, and was struggling to remember core physics from decades ago. (I swear rusty gears dopped out of my ears) I identify with non linear thinking, as you may guess.

I suppose in colloquial parlance, that one could say that GRRM likes to leave Easter eggs in his writing?:)
