Finally wrote something so was finally able to read what was posted, and some good stuff out there as usual! I had two ideas and had to pick one to go with, will never know of course if I picked the right one, this one was more "traditional" in the genre I think. If I get time I might write the second one after the contest is done and ask which would have been a more interesting idea to run with, just to see what people think.

Looking forward to seeing more of these entries, now I can safely read them!

Aww thanks, guys -- I'm just glad to see it was comprehensible to someone other than me!

I don't know why I didn't think of Dusty Zebras -- that would have been even weirder! Perhaps they aren't tricky enough.

I have never wrestled over a title like I did for this one. I still didn't find anything horrendously punny like I usually manage to do, but I got tired of sitting on it and waiting for something better, so I just threw that label on it to get it out of my hair. Someone will undoubtedly mention a horrific title that would have been perfect now. :D

Something about Beauty only being skin-deep?:)

Heh heh! Love it, TDZ. One of my faves so far.

Talking of titles, anybody know mine without Googling it?

Finally thought of something - it might be a bit too subtle, but I tried........

And Mouse - Is it a quote from 'The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance?'

Mouse with No Name - Go ahead, load up and shoot.;)

It's on my DVD shelves.

Dammit, more new kids on the block writing so well - good one Johnnyjet!

And now there's another one straight after him!!!

A year ago that was me and the old hands here saying 'good stuff'.
It is too, many strong new entries. But I couldn't help notice Teresa's killer good story right in the middle of them as well.
She got more character developmant in 75 words than I can in 750!

Welcome everyone, to this amazing place!

Thanks for the kudos, Boneman. It's not easy fleshing out an idea in 75 words. Took longer to whittle it down to 75 words than to write it! Lots of good entries. And definitely lots of talent in this forum. Good job, everyone!

It reminded me of matryoshka - the Russian nesting dolls.

Ah, Mouse. I saw that when it was released. Yes, I'm an old fella, not to be confused with Ole' Yeller. :p

I saw it in the place that those kind of movies were designed for a "drive-in theater." --- speaker hanging on the window in lovely tinny monaural. You are way too young to know about these kinds of pleasures.

By the way that "drive-in" is still functioning, one of the few dozen left in existence. :D

Sounds excellent!

I've not seen the whole film. Actually, I've only seen the trailer.

And there's me thinking you're a goodfella - forget about it!

Wow, Joe the Timelord -- I loved that story. It's one of my favourites so far.

(and hello and welcome).

And there's me thinking you're a goodfella - forget about it!

I don't know where you're imagination is going with this, but I can tell you that the movie was the only thing that had any attraction to me. I saw with one or two of my best guy friends. :p:p

Sheesh, this is a tough old month. Thanks, HB! Lol.
Can I just add - could anyone kind enough to take the time to read my story please note: the four asterisks do not denote a profanity, but the word c-o-c-k (to c-o-c-k a gun).
I trust you'll all get it anyway, but thought I'd explain just to be safe. :)

LMAO Scott! You were probably ok -- I figured that one out on my own, after a momentary hesitation. I can only imagine that roosters have a hard time doodle-do'ing around here, as well. :D

Quick incursion online. Just a quick apology to everyone I have not written a comment for yet, am determined to do them all this month but the combination of my little ailments and the medication has knocked me completely for a loop... I hope to be back in the saddle mid next week.

poor you, Perp. Get well soon! I miss your comments.

Lemme try. I'll do one:

Bob S Sr -- not aiming for TJ's vote this month ;)
