Fight or Flight?

"Around the World in 80 Days" was, I believe, an adventure story with balloons. Or at least, a balloon.

Balloon Lit - 'It' by Stephen King

(which reminds me Rule 434 - clowns in fiction are always evil and scary.)

This entire thread has had me in the giggles since I started reading. I think I probably need to lay my hands on one of these rules of writing tomes...should take some of the pain out of all that difficult stuff like plot, character development and world building, etc...

A suggestion for the writer whose WIP inspired all this:

The heroine does not see herself as human. But her form changed to human as she approached the town. She then concusses herself on a glass window. Have her see her reflections just before she hits the window. She looks human. That is going to mess with her head, and her thoughts on humans-as-food.

She might then decide to stay and try to figure out what the Heaven is going on!

Hopefully, this does not violate too many of the aforementioned Rules.

Probably violates just about all of them. :p

But yeah, would be far more convincing if she got confused and thought she was a human.

Yeah, I had to rewrite most of it actually... Thanks for the advice that's been in here, mixed in with the wonderfully sarcastic jokes! >.> if there were a book of rules like that, I'd prolly be duped into reading and following said rules :p

Everything except the rule about evil clowns. :)

evil clowns isn't a rule, it's a fact!

And as a thinks-she's-human, what does she do about the way humans make her mouth water...?

Lets just say I feel sorry for the young doctor she is supposed to fall in love with and save. ;)

Anyway, did we actually answer your original question, Junsui? I can't be entirely sure...
