The easy answer here is 'No.'
With a lot more polite and qualified - I first became aware of Grant Morrison back in the pages of 2000AD, but I just did not like his work. People were really starting to rave about it and I just did not get it. (Probably me not him). So when he made the leap to the US and started writing for DC/Vertigo I was sort of interested but not interested at the same time. I read the first issue of The Invisibles, and one of his Doom Patrol, but it did nothing for me and let it go.
I followed his run on the X-Men when he shifted to Marvel, more for the characters than him, and found the story to be overblown and although epic in scope, was just not The X-Men that I knew and loved. It was like another group of characters using familiar names.
That being said I cannot help but acknowledge that I am in a minority and Morrison is a recognised and much loved writer, so it's just one of those cases where every now and then there comes a writer that an individual just cannot get to grips with, and I guess this is the case with me and him.
To all accounts his run on Doom Patrol is considered a classic and probably well worth a look.
