Really should have thanked Luilgin and Flugel Meister for the votes, I must have been distracted with those comment things.

K, finally voted. I knew which two I was going to vote for but changed my mind (twice) on the third vote.

And I see Hex is well out in the lead!

I'm not sure which category my story was in - yes I do: the "scraped through" - but either way, I'm very grateful for the vote, Mouse. :):)

Actually, Ursa, yours was the one I was always going to vote for. :)

I've not read everything yet, but TJ's intrigued me, with the reference to Blake's poem in the title.

Thanks to Mouse and StillLearning for the votes -- you guys rock! :D

Looking forward to sitting down at the weekend and reading everyone's entries. :)

Mouse - Thank You for your vote! I'm delighted you liked it!

Was grinning when I saw that I'd got a vote last night:D I posted thanks on another thread by mistake - am blaming the Merlot!

Well after a period of re-reading I've come to my finale decision:

Running in the final we had: DEO, Revier33, Stevietee, PM, Hex, Chris, mouse, BM, jimness and Gary.

Hex, mouse, jimness & Gary all put in an exceptional effort,

but the medalists were

DEO, Chris and BM.

Congratulations to everyone, not one weak entry in the lot, roll on the next 300 challenge.

I've not read everything yet, but TJ's intrigued me, with the reference to Blake's poem in the title.
Glad it intrigued you! Over here most people don't think of it as a poem -- it's much more well known as being a not-quite-a-hymn sung at suitably important occasions (and at WI meetings).
