Author Websites...

I wouldn't worry too much about old IEs. MS keeps pushing people to upgrade, and if they're stuck with antiques, then your site won't be the only one broken. I used to try to support back to Netscape 3, but it just got impossible. You have to step into the 21st century at some point.

Just a heads up for anybody who might find this of use. Money's super, super tight right now, so I'm forced to try to use my skills...

Thanks to I, Brian’s permission, if anyone is looking to buy themselves an author website here, I might have what you're looking for – and it includes free hosting to Chrons members, courtesy of the brilliant Mr Compton. My prices are very competitive for what you get, since I'm not a company who can charge loads (and I wouldn't want to charge loads to my forum friends!). In a couple of weeks I'll post the details in the Press Release section, where I'll be able to talk more about it in a dedicated thread and answer any questions, but basically I'll be offering my services in web design so you can customise whichever of the 18+ author-style websites I've made (there's sci-fi ones, book ones, horror ones, fantasy ones, fun ones, pretty ones, space ones, grey ones, purple ones, etc).

I'll be offering a 10% discount to the first 5 people who buy a site in the cheap range, and another 10% discount to the first 5 people who buy one of my slightly more expensive range. Further details - prices, website pages, blogs, etc - to be discussed when I post in Press Release. Hopefully this post will give people time to decide, since I will work in a first come, first served basis. :)
