Criminal conudrum

Not just money, but cui bono ("to whose benefit", I believe): so a person might seek to dispose of a spouse who will not grant an easy divorce (and where there's no great amount of money involved). So, in fact, Motive.

There's definitely a motive but I don't know if the police would know what it was (the victim was blackmailing my PoV character).

I think I'm going to have to write everything down concerning these two characters and all the links and where everybody was when certain things were happening and try to work it out like a copper possibly could.

Well, the officers who investigate fires and the officers who investigate homicides and the officers who work traffic are not likely to be the same guys. Unless it's a VERY small locale, there should be some degree of specialization among the departments. I forget if you're dealing with a spot that small.

Oh, and that chart you're plotting is an excellent idea!

Hi,

Surely they can't see the links unless they've either got the data in their system or someone else tells them. So with the fire and the body at the neighbours the police won't have their names on file in connection with those events, unless they were interviewed. But that doesn't mean that someone won't say under interview - oh no not again!

Cheers, Greg.

I've got somebody who's going to tell them quite a lot in an interview. I'm trying to work out how I'm going to get across all the information I want to get across with the four PoVs I have, which I think'll be difficult.
