Anybody going? I'd completely forgotten about it but I've just seen the guest list (Anne Lyle and Philip Reeve!) so I might go have a lookit. I went in 2010 as a dealer but spent most of my time away from my table and listening to Joe Abercrombie instead.

So yeah. If I can get someone to go with me (and can save up to pay for parking!!) then I'll be there. :)

I would've thought so, TJ, but I can't say for definite. I parked at the hotel last time because I had very heavy boxes of books to carry so it was quite expensive parking... (though there's a possibility I was given free parking, unless I'm confusing it with the Comic Con). But I'd probably try to park elsewhere this time.

And it'd be awesome if you went!

dunno if this helps: http://www.travelbristol.org/parkandride

Just had a look and they so have a P&R, £3 on a Saturday. I might have a look at the train fare, though, as it's right on top of BTM.

Temple Meads, yes it is. Let me know if you decide to go! :)

Sounds intriguing. Is the train station close to the place*? If monies have replenished some and I can get my act together a little bit then it might be an idea.

*duh, already answered...

Excellent, Hoops. Bring No One. ;)

Just been having a look and P&R looks dead easy for me. An hour up the M5 and that's that! Thanks for mentioning it, TJ, cos I wouldn't have thought of using park and ride.

The last bus returning to the park and ride on the Bath road seems to leave Temple Meads (Temple Gate) at 1913.

Is the programme likely to run later than this? (There's either no formal programme announced yet, or I've failed to find it.)

No programme up yet, but I don't think it runs as late as that. I didn't stay that late back in 2010. I know afterwards they stay behind at the bar, but you don't have to go to that. (Pub quiz and live music in the eve).

I've remembered about this in time to possibly actually get the day off work for once, so I'm pretty likely to attend - will have to verify next week.

As for parking, there's an Asda not too far away and I don't know if they check number plates for time limits, but I can check that before the event. Failing that, about 15-20 mins walk away there's free parking. Bristol City are playing away that day, so the space won't be taken by them

The train station (Temple Meads) is really close, 5 minutes walk away.

Was waiting for you to comment, Doz. :)

I will definitely be going to this. Just got to get a couple of tickets for me and my pal.

Cos I know you wanted to go last time! Hope you can make it this year.

I lived about 15 mins walk from it for the past couple of years. Now I gotta spend 4 quid on a bus to get there, but it's still as local as I'll ever get for a con :)

Have finally sorted the time off work, so I'll be putting in an appearance. Minus the red hat in the avatar pic.

I'm definitely going. Delighted to say I'll be interviewing one of the Guests of Honour: the wonderful and hugely talented Anne Sudworth.

Not too far away, sounds interesting. What's usually the lay of the land at these things?

Also, would be cool to meet some fellow chrons for the first time.
