And off we go... discuss, have fun or moan and be thankful I did not ask it to be written in Klingon or Elvish ;)

Okaay, seen the theme. Can I vote for Starbeast now, save me the pain of coming up with one, reading all the others and then voting for him anyway. :D

ps can I have an alien dinosaur with a ray gun. Pleasssse. :)

Okay, dinosaurs, I can do. Science Fiction I can definitely do. But humour? Come on, man! ;) I got a humour bypass at birth.

Yeah, I'm afraid I can only do humour when I'm not trying. Still, once again, very much looking forward to seeing the others!

All I can say is that a curveball was thrown here.

Dinosaurs? That'll take a thought or two. And I'm sure I can think of how others are going to try this. Not saying it's not possible, but, if I want anything of quality to post, it might have to wait a while. Maybe even an hour. :D

But seriously, it's a combination I never thought I'd see come up.

I have just had a thought. This might be the time to go and read some Calvin and Hobbes. That has lots of humour, dinosaurs and the occasional spaceship. And a philosophical tiger! I need some pointers.

Humour, I can do. Humour on demand is another thing entirely.

However, well played Perp Man. Well played.

Well I must say these early reactions are interesting.

I had quite a few ideas floating around, buton Wednesday we took Perp Jr (s) to a little place called Dinosaur World (second one this summer) and the Dinosaur wormed its way in. I was always leaning toward humour because it is something I love but I'm not sure how to approach it.

SF? Why not?

Sorings - Why not?

Aber I did not even think of Calvin and Hobbes but that is just brilliant. Space Man Spiff. Sugar Frosted Cocoa Bombs. I'm off to my book case... soemthing needs re-reading.

Al - Thank you kindly

Sweet of you to say that Springs, but having a funny story did not win me any votes in the past. I still have the same chance as you do. BTW - Having alien dinosaurs with ray guns is considered sci-fi. And Perpetual Man came up with an interesting challange I didn't expect, very creative I thought.

Damn ... I can only write funny when it's not meant to be funny .... now it's meant to be funny and I can only think not funny.

When the topic is "Dinosaurs" and the genre is "Humorous <something>" better that something be SF than Horror, or we'd be having at least one entry that involved the eating of scabs and boils.

Presumably if I only write about shopping trolleys I will be marked down?
Perhaps; but at least your story wouldn't be a basket case....

Hmmmm...so my brains default of dark and brooding will have to be sqaushed every step of the way. Good thing i watched Jurassic Park last month. I love doing these Challenges for this reason. It really forces you to bring out the creativity. For good or bad I cant wait to see what I can come up with and see all the entries!

*checks Move Along, Herbivores story posted on blog*

Let's see...dinosaurs? Check. Science Fiction? One time machine. Check. Humour? Check. 75 words? D'oh!

I can do this. I can definitely do this. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've already done this, but it didn't get any votes last time.

TJ, time to stretch your muscles, here. :)
