Ooh, a wood-burning stove. I have one. It makes me feel at home! :D

Yes, Karn, this could be interesting indeed.

What a wonderful picture! My imagination seems to be needing a kickstart though

Oooh..yes, I like that image; it's bound to yield some strange-but-beautiful fruit.

...thinking.....(later).

Got two ideas fighting WWE style in my head. Not sure whether to go with the poignant or the comedic at the moment ... damn ... if I get a draw it'll end up as a romcom.

Yes it could, because the atmosphere of the photograph is getting my Baldur's Gate trained mind kick-starting. Those boots seem to be the main focus, and there's so much that can be done with boots and fantasy that it just isn't funny.

And damn it, wish we had a wood-burning stove here. My grandparent's first house on the Coast had one, and it was sweet. Wood burns hotter than electric heat will usually provide, and it's somehow more penetrating. Electric heat is the kind that will cause that sick stickiness to the furniture. Dry wood heat though....that's awesome. It provides the homey, tranquil feel that I haven't experienced...well, in years. But as I said...to me, the stove isn't the focus of the photo. :D But it and the wood walls are providing the atmosphere to back my ideas up.

I definitely agree, Karn, those boots just seem to be calling out! They've given me an idea - something a bit silly and unexpected, lets see if it will work!!

The thing with me, is, I like to play games like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, and boots aside, the rest of the picture gives off the very atmosphere that those games give off, and with the amount of travel your characters go through in them, well, boots are made for walking...

I do have something stirring within my mind and I hope it can work. I think it will, with enough tweaks and shaping.

I'm going to dip my toe in the water this month, the picture formed an image in my mind the moment I saw it. No zombies, sorry, DOE...

Or RAY GUNS, oh nooo.

You cannot mix zombies and ray guns, Bowler.

Please do not give your zombies ray guns. Mostly, they will be used as clubs...the ray guns, not the zombies. Sometimes a relatively smart zombie might manage to pull the trigger. Sadly, even the smartest zombie doesn't know how to aim, and often all he does is blast another zombie's head clean off. Or his own. And even if he did manage to blast a living person's head off, that would just ruin all those tasty brains. So please, do not allow your zombies into the armoury. This has been a Community Service Announcement on behalf of the Save The Zombie foundation.

Strolling into the sunset, tossing a key up into the air again and again, Bowler1 smiles, ignoring the sounds of manic shouting in the distance...

Mmmm, tasty. I have one. But I think I might get sued... still, not much worth in suing me. :)#

Edit, I have a story that is, not a zombie brain. Although....

I'm waiting for the opening date now, scratching at the door to be let in...

It's ok Springs, have a RAY GUN, they're fun.

Well I will admit that I was excited to see this image. It brought to mind a few ideas and felt warm and inviting. But I did have a hard time actually coming up with an idea for it. I have a story written that I will probably post.

It is a lot different than the 75 word, this one we get to stew on for 10 days and second guess ourselves!

I am sure I will be one of the first posters on this so I can stop thinking about it.

Well, I don't know where the month has gone, but it's the 10th already -- so the Challenge is now open!

Good luck, everyone!
