Misunderstood. Haven't been feeling all that spry tonight.

Now, to be honest, I feel bad about what I've done. :( And Kylara will not be pleased with it either, haha. I really like dragons, honest!

Mine's posted.

Grinnel, I don't know what you just did, but that was an interesting read! Off the wall and into the subconscience.

I was reading the thread asking if a Hero could be a Villain. Made me think about the psychology of a dark hero. Someone who is angry, vengeful and potentially brutally violent. Can this character be sympathetic? Would we root for him under the right circumstances?

Well my idea turned into a mess of useless prose that went precisely nowhere, alas, it worked better before I tried to make it an actual story, never mind...I'll think of another I hope, or I'll just spend the rest of the time struggling to fix my failed idea! So many look to have been posted so far, but I'm trying not to read them until I've posted my own or nothing may end up posted!

And Karn...I'm now very worried about reading yours! Although DRAGONS! WOOOOO!

EDIT: Well I put mine up. Not sure how well it works and it is nothing like my original idea, and nothing like my usual melancholic self, must be all the chocolate I've eaten!

Actually, Kylara, I personally find that reading through posted entries can actually help. The way it does is, seeing in what style others interpret the restrictions, and a similar idea can strike, or at least ease doubts about whether or not you're doing it wrong, or if you could get away with more.

And there we go, that's mine up.

It took me a bit by surprise, this one. Came out of nowhere and just seeped out onto the page. Not my normal thing, but I'm quite happy with it. I probably did not spend as much time as I should have on it, but I did not want to start over-thinking, then overwriting it!

Now to find the time to start reading the others and considering some comments.

I have mine down to 375 (it was 461 a few hours ago) and so I'm going to forget about it for today and come to it fresh tomorrow. I am probably in danger of imagining cut info is still in there but the narrative won't make sense to a fresh set of eyes.

Ugh..it's like pulling teeth sometimes  Time to listen to cook and listen to some therapeutic Kate Bush

Kate Bush - always good! :)

I might have a go at this as my debut challenge on the forum. I've got the beginnings of an idea, just need to develop it a bit.

Has anyone else noticed that these boots are military style? The person who is wore them however is not in the military. Is he (or she) a military veteran fallen on hard times? Were the boots recovered from a donation bin, a trash bin, or a dump? Or is it merely a coincidence?

Done and posted! It's interesting to see how others have interpreted the prompt - some great ideas knocking around in those noggins!

I'm officially in.

Now I can read the other tales (I only glanced at them before I posted).

Nice entry Star - pretty careless of you but thanks for fixing it before we all became meat ornaments for the last Christmas ever . . .
