Doctor Who - 2012 Christmas Special - The SnowMan

My guess ("Clever boy!") is she's going to turn out to be the Doctor's Mum. And then we can get the Doctor, his Mum, His Daughter, River Song, and the resurrected Ponds (living in the Tardis next door) and turn it into a good old British sitcom!

Joining the party late as I only got to see it tonight, after a very busy few days but I loved it, but it was more for the incidental material than the actual bad guy story which seemed thrown in because it is expected.

The new titles and revamped music were magnificent, and the new TARDIS design won me over before I even saw it, feeling very classic.

I thought all the character bits were spot on, the references were fast and furious, nice references to the past. The Snowmen might have looked a bit cuddly but the ice governess made up for it.

I've got no complaints.

Richard E Grant has played the Doctor twice before - in The Curse of the Fatal Death for comic relief and in a more recent animated webisode - that being said none of them are actually considered to be part of continuity....

Loved Clara/Oswin....

I bow to your uber-geekness. (Can I be on your team at the pub quiz?)

Now answer me this one: How did Drax know where to drive Oswin when the doctor told him to "take her back where we picked her up," when 30 seconds before he didn't remember who she was?

and

B: How long and hard did Moffet resist the temptation to specify that the umbrella, in the hands of a Victorian governess about to 'fly' off a roof, had a parrot-shaped handle? It must have been agony for him.

Yes. Yes, you can. It's your round though;)

In answer to your other questions, a) because plot hole and b) I think we all know the good Mr. Moffet is wholey unable to resist temptation.

I think we would have soon discovered, had she remained in the carriage, that Drax had no idea at all where he was going. He was most likely going to randomly wander around the town until he realised he didn't know where her place was. It fits his character for this episode.

Loved Clara, loved the new Tardis (much, much better) and loved the new titles & theme. Also really loved the "return" of the Great Intelligence.
