I liked the original movie, but couldn't stay with SAC. I remember giving up around the time when somebody released a virus that turned everybody's head into a holographic smiley face. Or something.

I'd like to give this a shot though, I've always liked the lore behind Ghost in the Shell. Thanks for pointing this new series out.

Have you seen the second film? If you liked the first, then you should like the second, as it's more of the same.

What was it that put you off the series?

I did like the second movie. I don't think it had a major release in the Box Office, but it was playing in Berkeley, and part of the awesomeness was seeing it on the big screen.

The series, I don't remember what specifically. I just remember that it didn't hold my interest. This was some time ago when it was first released. Perhaps it's time to give it a second go. This happens sometimes with me.
