Discussion Thread - SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE May 2013

I like that HB, like it a lot - the only problem it is going to give me is the overwhelming run of ideas, which is not a bad thing.

Argh! What have you done?

(I'll scurry off and look, shall I? er, I mean spread my majestic wings and soar away to have a look).

Edit: back now. Hmm. Nice one.

(but where are the chickens??)

Uhh, well that's me up.

Just wondered what it was like to be first up in the challenge.

Thought I'd get first post but only third. Serious sentimental outing for me ... time to lie down now :)

It's day one and I've posted! Now I can sit back and read all the fabulous entries as they arrive, and not feel inhibited or influenced by them... And I didn't read Perps' before, which is just as well...

How about that? Luiglin and I had the same posting time - presumably the thread is set up alphabetically, so I got in first...

Boneman, it's weird when I opened the thread only Perp's posting was there but as soon as I hit submit yours appeared.

Yes, Bowler, I admire your restraint. :D

Hmm ... Legacy.

Grumble grumble mumble ... ok. I will not be posting on Day 1! (But I've only done that once that I recall.)

Cool theme, should be fun.

Perp you back this month for comments?

Do you people have stories for all ideas filed away on your computers? Com'on Man, us mentally challenged Parson types have to let the three mice loose in the confines of our cranium to start the wheels working first.:D:eek:

ratsy - yes I should be.

Parson - I feel that mine was really, really rushed. But I threw something out rather than my normal protracted period of contemplation and cogitation. I just wanted to do something completely off the cuff (and see if I could be the first to post) ;)

Perp... Well its worked for Karn before.

Your mice do just fine, you get very regular mentions from me.

I still have to ask, having read a lot of the stuff you've posted, are you using three blind mice?

Well, in a month I couldn't come up with an idea for the 300 word, and this one hit me, so I ran with it - was 97 words when I started out...

I get a few ideas almost instantly. Whether I do them justice is another matter. I've only ever had one that I thought was a pile of gently steaming dung (in my semi-rose tinted specs anyway)

Gently steaming dung, hmm? That gives me an idea.

The trouble with this kind of inspirational title is that there's an abundance of possibilities.

Mary the dung beetle, dithering

I really enjoyed that, springs. :) Legacy through a sense of what you take with you when everything is gone.
