From the creators of Evil Judiciary and Judicious Overlords, all the way from the Antipodes *sound of trumpets* June's Writing Challenge (a tad early here in the UK, but we're splitting the time difference...)

Get discussing.

Good luck, everyone.

Hmm . . . "ends of the earth" is pretty open-ended so a good topic. I'm going for out of reach places instead of the destruction of the earth.

Yeah, need to put some thought into this one!

What time do you lot get up at, I've only just seen the theme and there are four in already.

What makes it sting is that my initial idea was very similar to BigJ. Well done, mate, a good start, and back to the drawing board for me!

Victoria, What in the world did you do? Pull an all-nighter? I can't imagine dealing with story posts at 3:00 in the morning!!

(Parson briefly considers that she's a vampire, but dismisses the thought out of hand.)

We might have to go the ends of the earth to solve this mystery!

Victoria's back in Tall Tales mode! :D

Bowler, you are not allowed to post until at least tomorrow. That's an order.

Well hopefully I didn't just make a fool of myself, but I went for it and entered!
I kept it basic for my first atempt.
That was really fun! I cant wait for the next one, if anything this is going to be a great writing work out every month.

oooooh - it's been a while, but popped back to the site, and came across this months challenge. Crikey, there are some that are quick off the mark!! (I haven't read them - I can't until I write mine!)

But - for the first time in I don't know how long, I'm inspired to give it a go again . . . . we'll see . . .

Fab choice for a theme though
x

And we're off! Looking forward to a month of good reads.

BigJ cornering the market on dystopian possibilities for demise!

Victoria Silverwolf-- smart and subtle, I liked this very much.

Hex -- competing mythologies with a twist. I heart Lucy.

springs, this made me laugh. Making rainbows!

AMB -- my favourite punch line so far.

Cathy M -- chilling reversal on dragon fire

alchemist -- witty take on the author as escape artist made to face a few plot holes
