Conflict

Earth torn asunder, iron shod war hooves
Tank tracks, nailed caligae,
Watered with poisons, blood and petroleum,
Strip mines for iron to continue destruction,
Sapper-rent by explosives, petards, entrenching tools
Burnt by flame throwers, nuclear, Bowler's ray guns,
Cursed by religions, nations, invaders,
Overbuilt with fortresses, emplacements, concrete defences,
Teams compete in furthering destruction.
STOP!
Whistle blows, oranges, half time, change ends.

RAY GUNS!

WooHoo - sounds like my type of game. - Ahh, Ref, that's allowed....

Needless to say, a missed vote but I suspect you knew that, Chrispy and did the right thing. You may of course borrow my RAY GUNS any time you like, it's clear you know how to use them. Fancy going down the shooting range for a bit, we can blast away till we drain the batteries. :D

So it is. Spooky. I looked back at last months story, and it has a similar tone -a clear, real voice against a grand, broad backdrop.

I'd be pleased to get an early preview of the book.

Thanks again sir. It might be a year or so haha, but that would be awesome.
