Question on Submitting Short Stories

That's a nice letter, ratsy. As alc says, there are other magazines you might be able to submit it to. Just keep working on your stories and sending them out. Good luck, mate.

You just have to get used to it. I've written a story I think is quality, but it's been rejected by 5 outlets already. Of course 4 of those 5 are what I'd call "gold standard" outlets--there's only a very small chance of being published there unless you are already "in." But the 5th didn't take it either. Why? Maybe they didn't like it or maybe it didn't fit their needs or maybe it was too much like another story they just bought or maybe they got too many good stories recently, etc.

Just keep slogging.
