New member needs new series.

It's short, only a trilogy, but it is the finest fantasy trilogy I've ever read is Elizabeth Moon's "Deed of Paksenarrion". Judith Tarr referring to the book says author Moon "has taken the work of Tolkien, assimilated it totally and deeply and absolutely, and produced something altogether new. . ." That worked for me.
