Just read "The Marching Morons".
I have some other Kornbluth fiction on my Kindle and was looking for some recommendations.

I have "The Space Merchants", "The Mindworm", "MS Found in a Chinese Fortune Cookie", "Theory of Rocketry", "Gunner Cade" and some others ...

Oh, just found "Gladiator at Law" and "Wolfsbane" on my hard-drive.

There are many more but "The Little Black Bag", "The Silly Season", "Shark Ship", and "That Share of Glory" spring to mind (I'm bad with titles). You've got his three best novels that I know of - I haven't read his solo novels and Search the Sky is for completists only.

NESFA put out a collected short stories volume, His Share of Glory. I remember reading The Best of Cyril Kornbluth years ago and really loving it. I should revisit.

Randy M.

A fine author, often very far ahead of his time.

I find his solo novels of interest. The Syndic was the least memorable for me, although it was not bad. Not This August is a very convincing tale of the USSR invading the USA during the Cold War, and Takeoff is an extemely realistic story of the first flight into space (written before Sputnik.)

"The Mindworm" is an interesting take on vampirism, "Little Black Bag" is excellent, based in the same universe as "The Marching Morons".
"His Share Of Glory: The Complete Short Fiction Of......" is published by NESFA.

Adapted for television But the british anthology series Out of The Unknown and Rod Serling's Night Gallery.:)

I have seen the BBC Out Of The Unknown version of "Little Black Bag".
I thought it very good, have yet to see Night Gallery version through I have seen a few of these in the day.

The Night Gallery version is quite good, It stars Burgess Meredith.(y)

A terrific book but Gladiator at Large is even better .(y)

It's Gladiator at Law and I liked both books. Co-written, but also well worth seeking out are: Outpost Mars, Wolfbane and Not This August.

He should be celebrated for being a wonderful and very imaginative writer. (y)

"The Adventurer", after a shaky start, is a brilliant tale about the origins of dictatorship. "The Advent on Channel Twelve" is a very short stylistic tour de force - as is "The Last Man Left in the Bar". The last two could count as unique horror stories.

Funnily enough, this is the first I've heard of this author. Sounds intriguing though. Is he in the vein of classic, pulpy adventure?
