I thought "get to Falkirk" meant "go to hell", so I guess I was close. Err...no offense to Falkirk, as I've never been there. Or anywhere.

Sorry on the "hissed" thing, but I just don't like hissing for sentences that don't have any kind of sibilants in them. Quite agree, HB, there just isn't any good word for that delivery, though, so I guess sometimes they have to be hissed. I didn't object to "spat", just wasn't sure if it was actual spitting going on or the spitting of words. I'm pretty sure I've had sentences spat before. Many at me, in fact. Probably shortly after I complained about the hissing noise.

I really liked #4 -- might have to check that book out. But I thought 9 was Mouse! I really liked it, too. I think I have mixed up Hex and Mouse before.

I'd love to read that story, Boneman. Of all the excerpts, that was the one that stuck in my head and made me wonder about the people and the place.

And yep, no6 is one of a series of sexy urban fantasy books with an ass-kicking heroine. I really enjoyed them.
