Need a safe venue for a high stakes meet-up

Does your MC have any information over his opponents that he can put on a time delay to be released?

Afraid not. He counts on them doing nothing nefarious in public (as has been the case for centuries) but as it turns out they've finally decided to tell all. Unfortunately my MC only discivers this as he's sipping coffee with his contact and he has to beat a hasty retreat while a flying angel shoots arrows at him.

How about Camden Market? Busy flow of people, Lots of noise, colourful stalls, some of it covered to confuse possible snipers, lots of exits etc...He could have her buy something from a particular stall and then walk around with it until he felt safe to approach. Then easy to lose himself in the crowds afterwards.

Hi,

Not knowing London at all could I suggest two important principles. First for the meet you want to be safe. That means no one carries weapons, so somewhere weapons can't be brought - think airport lounges where they hopefully have metal detectors. It also means that you don't want even busy places where a sniper could be sitting in a building overlooking the meet. And just as an extra, you want it to be a place where everything is on video. That way if something does happen, the police know who to hunt - which acts as a deterrent.

You also want to be able to arrive and leave without being followed, so the underground works well for that.

So my best guess would be something like an important museum or art gallery where there areguards, cameras and metal detectors, plus no good sniper possies. And hopefully multiple entrances. It would help if your MC knows people who can gain him access to the back way out.

Cheers, Greg.

Parliment Square: There is pretty much a continual protest camp on the east side. It would have the advantages of being both well supported by the Police and also has lots of protestors. It has lots of exit points. Your average cop is unlikely to be part of some grand conspiracy so (if armed) is more likely to move to engage a flying, arrow shooting angel than naturally fall on their side.

Even if you want the Police on the side of the baddies, there is enough protestors who would be more than happy to 'stick it to the man' and run interference whilst your MC escapes.

Could be an interesting scene where your MC essentially sparks a riot in the square and slips away in the confusion.

As an aside, it provides an interesting and iconic backdrop...

Scotland Yard won't even be open to the police next year (2014/15). It's getting closed down and it's function will be relocated to Victoria embankment. :(

Not a crowded outside area, as a sniper could get him and slip away in the crowd and confusion.
