As an Irish person I read it exactly how you planned it to be said. Though I would understand other people perhaps not as they don't know how funny your accents are up North

When I was in the supermarket last week, I heard one of those Australianisms that are popular in the media.. "How ya goin' mate, orright?"

I can't remember ever hearing it before, except on TV or at the movies (which may simply mean that I've been walking around with my ears pasted shut for too many decades!)

However, that made me think about this thread, and wonder whether the speech would sound faster if the sentences were separated only by commas.
