Writer's doubt

I know this feeling very well. One of the main reasons I haven't written in a long time.


Now that you mention it, that would probably explain why a lot of writers turn to drinking. When they start doubting themselves they fall into a bottle and never manage to come out entirely.
 
After much self-doubting, i would say its the feeling that arises between the time you think to do something -- something you actually want to do -- and the point at which you actually do it.
 
i believe there is a difference between doubting and having simple misgivings about a thing. i believe in those little instincts that make you zig instead of zag..
there are a lot of details that our subconscious picks up. the summation of this type of detail is what makes up our gut feelings. sometimes some things just feel wrong, but its not until you let the file cool that you are distanced enough to see the problem.
