Argh, that's annoying! Why's it done that? Are you sure it's not set to private? I've noticed these little switches on it that make it private or give you a map and whatnot.

Apparently it's a bug they're aware of and working on. It ate my account and gives me a "Whoops! Can't find that!" message. I'd only used it for three or four days -- if I'd used it for months I would have been seriously annoyed.

Anyway. Danger, Will Robinson! Back up your account/ boards if you can!

Ooh, yes, Pinterest is a pretty good place for world building. I've got a couple of Pinterest extensions added to my chrome too, making it easier to post right from any webpage I'm on (I use Pinit and Shot Pin).

Alas...I'm not a very visual person. I tend to world build from personal experiences and my imagination, rather than from actual images I see. My other half, however, is obsessed with Pinterest! We have a joint wedding album on there....that's been a fun way to plan too!
