Have about 10 stories in for this anthology. Could do with alot more. If you are writing a story, give me a heads up.

If you aren't, why aren't you? This will be a great book for your CV. Edited by Teresa Edgerton and J Scott-Marryatt.

Submissions remain open for the moment.:)

Not only that but the cover is awesome!

Would you object to me sending multiple submissions on this one? Well, one more that is...

BREAKING NEWS... Multiple submissions accepted.

You can write the whole bloody book, old chap. That will save me alot of time and effort:D

I think you want your editors to stick around though don't you? A book by me would put them into exhaustion ;)

He was the first but won't be the last!

My first submission to Magic was a horror take so I will do something different too.

Well, I gave you a boatload of commas, so they wouldn't run out. Oh, wait, that wasn't for Magic. Never mind! :D

Gary, I wonder if Francis Knight would be willing to write something for this? Not sure if you read her stuff but it was really good. Not sure if she'd be willing but worth a try.

And Dusty, I still have some leftover commas from that beta if you need any back :)

Francis has agreed to write the blurb for Jo Zebedee's Abendau's Child so she is already been very supportive.:)

I will get my black slacks and shirt out and stealthily drop of a box of Milk Tray. That'll do the job!:)

I've actually read some steampunk now, thanks to Teresa and Ursa (though it was fantasy steampunk romance), so I may be able to wrap my head around it. I shall try!

Keep in mind, though, that it doesn't have to be steampunk. We are looking for stories that combine magic with technology or the sciences at any time during the Elizabethan era through the end of the Victorian era. Steampunk is one way to go, but there are many, many other possibilities -- even stories set in imaginary worlds if they are science-fantasy and the settings have the flavor of a time during that period. We are looking for stories about alchemists, natural philosophers, as well as weird technologies. See the link to the Guidelines in the post above.

And thank you, Thaddeus, for providing the link!

Gary, what's the approximate deadline? I've got something brewing but it's going to take a week or two to refine it into something I'm prepared to let out.

I won't close this till we have enough stories. Hopefully another 10 then we will pick the best ones.:)

So you have plenty of time. Feel free to use this thread to keep us updated or ask a question.

Got what I think is a cool idea for a new story and I will be working on it tonight.

And if you like my first story, the good news is, it's over 5000 words...

Well, this tale has certainly taken a turn for the strange-but-fun. Neo-victorian arcanapunk, anyone?

I have been trying to write at least one for every book (no matter how crap they may be), and have been working on something for this one. However it did not work at all.

It might work after a complete rewrite, I hope to get around to in the next few days/weeks.

(You've given us too many books to do work with Gary!)

Perp, I've submitted one for most anthologies, but not the Space one. Hope you can rewrite it, I'm having similar problems with an unrelated short story that refuses to work despite having a perfectly good storyline.
