YA dystopian and/or post apocalyptic SF and Fantasy

Once I saw the trailer where Jennifer Lawrence takes out TWO jets with an ARROW that was enough for me.

They're all the same really, Angsty but talented teenager saves world from evil adult power structure. The one question constantly begged by HG is why didn't they put even a small amount of the effort they put into the games toward feeding people, when they really needed to do very little to feed everyone, but a movie about humanitarian relief efforts wouldn't have nearly the drama

I think we are living in a post-apocalyptic world now. WWI, ( and II, they're both really the same) really screwed up a world which, while far from perfect, was not doing at all badly and was a much more hopeful place than the one we live in now. WWI/II was a catastrophe, an apocalypse, which we have never really recovered from and accounts for the rich vein of despair that is one of the main characteristics of the modern world.

I have read Maze Runner, but found it lacked the closeness to character that I enjoyed in Hunger Games.

I was amazed at the movie. It is possible to get dumber than Hunger Games? Not even thinking about reading Maze Runner. And spend millions making it!!!

$34 million, but it made 10 times that so they would call it a winner.
