Never Made Movies that You Wish Had Been Made

In 1925 the film rights to War Of The Worlds were acquired, and it could’ve been directed by Cecil B. DeMille.
If only that had actually happened.

Imagine of he'd had done the 53 film.

Night of the Cooters. Story by Harold Waldrop.
Not only does the original have a lot of down home humor, it's also a sequel to War of the Worlds.
So you get alien machines, humor, western landscape, and a nice tongue in cheek treatment of how some good old boys would handle invasion better than the oh so advanced Brits.

I would like to see a faithful rendering of A Princess of Mars.

After watching John Carter, it's still on my list!

Nah, I’d prefer a silent 1925 version.

The difference would like comparing the 1925 & 1960 versions of The Lost World.

Or for a more obvious comparison, The Ten Commandments of 1923 and 1956, both by deMille.

The 1960 film rather then use ray Harry Haussen to do the stop motion Dino which would have looked easy batter , they decide to save money by gluing horns and spikes on Monitor lizard , iguanas and alligators. There is episode of Voyage to the bottom of the Sea refused parts of the movie in fact, the episode was basically a one hour condensed version of the 1960 film.
