I ended up voting for StilLearning because there was something about the size of it that appealed to me. I think it also helps that I'm re-reading The Big Sleep at the moment, too ;)

pH
Phyrebat, that made an otherwise difficult day better, thank you :)

Thanks for the review, Starbeast :)
Thanks for the almost vote, Victoria and thank you for the shortlisting, johnyjet!

dare I believe I snared your vote, @Parson ?? If there's one person I would have never expected to vote for my entry this time, it would be you!

Hm, I would guess that you thought that the immorality insinuated in your story made you think that I would have turned my nose up at it. I don't think anyone can read as much as I do without dealing with some less than decorous stuff. The biggest thing I look for in a story I vote for over other really good stories is something that sticks with me. And your story did that in spades. Good stuff for sure.

What do I see but a vote from none other than the beast of stars! Thanks a million starbeast. It means a lot especially as, if I'm being honest, I was channelling my inner starbeast when I added the sound effects to my story! Seems like it worked!

You're gargantually welcome Mr Orange. I enjoyed the way your story flowed. And yes, I did like your sound effects. Heh heh. Plus, thanks for the short listing. You made my day.
