Attack on Titan

We are all looking forward to it, but there is an already announced second season though, coming next year, so maybe wait until that, so as not to spoil it? Depends on the person I guess. Some prefer to read the story instead of waiting, others prefer to wait until the animated version of the story is available.

I guess so, but since I remember the end of Season 1, I personally wouldn't be able to wait. XD

Also, there's an anime adaption of the spin off manga Attack on Titan Junior High (chibi versions of the AoT characters in a school setting) airing this fall. I'm really looking forward to it. Haven't read that manga, but it looks like it will be hilarious.

I haven't read the manga, but what I really love about the show is the horror of the titans. I was caught off-guard when I first saw them attack, especially since the show doesn't seem so violent at the very start. They're just too strong, and too horrible! The best thing humans have come up with to fight them is only effective in the hands of the best soldiers, and it shows - the rest die in droves, generally in horrible ways. They keep trying, though, even knowing what they're getting into, and it really makes you cheer for the characters every time they survive something. I will renew my Crunchyroll subscription just for season two.

I've only watched the anime so far (I'd be very interested in reading the manga though at some point) but I absolutely love it.
Season 2 looks insane from the trailer. I can't wait to see it! :D April is so close and yet so far awayyyyy!

Just in case some of you haven't yet seen the trailer for season 2, here it is:
(SPOILER WARNING: I wouldn't recommend watching this unless you've finished season 1 and don't mind some major shocking hints at where season 2 is headed!)

I started the manga but haven't got far into it at all thus far. For some reason black and white manga can be more difficult to tell characters apart (this tends to be why anime has very extreme looking characters; because the artwork in the manga has to be a bit extreme otherwise the simpler style and lack of colour can make it very hard to tell them apart from each other).

Though reading the blurbs on issues on the back it seems that the manga also keeps going at that glacial pace of story progress (I think its 20 or 30 or so volumes in and they are still not at the little house with the basement with the hopeful answers to what the heck is going on ;))

I enjoyed the first season quite a bit, and I was even in Japan when the movie came out (but I didn't watch it). Season 2 is coming out now, but for some reason, I haven't made the time to see it. I will probably buy the set when it is complete.
