Daario Naharis and Ben Plumm dragon riders?

i actually think it will be 2 males. Inverse of Aegon the conqueror.
Aemon makes a similar comment in Braavos before he dies. He states something along the lines that Rheager and everyone else misread the prophecy about Ice and Fire. He said Dragons could be either sex, which confused the prophecy.

Since the original conquest was 1 male, 2 females. The return of the Targs could easily be 2 males, 1 female.

The two sons of Rhaeger, and his sister (daughter??)
Tyrion (Johanna Lannister), Aegon (Ellia Martel) and Daenerys (Rhaella Targaryen)
LOL

Jud, the prophecies regarding TPTWP and TDHTH (The Dragon Has Three Heads) never mention sex. And I think I'm the person Arsten is recalling from his last post. If the Targs are to reestablish their dynasty, then they must procreate. Since Dany assumes she is barren, then she must pick one male rider and one female rider. The prophecy is not called There Are Three Dragons... the prophecy is THE Dragon (this means one dragon) Has Three Heads. I feel this is strong evidence that the three humans are not merely riders, they are the emblems of unified rule, i.e. Royal Authority. To me, this means they are married... as Visenya, Aegon I, and Rhaenys. I do not envision Dany allowing two riders who are not spouses... that would be There Are Three Dragons. If she finds a male Targ rider and she herself is barren, then the other rider/spouse must be the surrogate mother. Riding dragons, like demigods, is a sure sign to the masses that not only are the Targs physically above humanity, but they are also above human morals, i.e. polygamy becomes justified. But we've learned through TWOIAF that non-Targs also rode dragons.... so anyone capable of riding a dragon could easily be seen as a candidate for the throne. I just don't think Ben aspires that high, nor do I believe Daario can convince either Rhaegal or Viserion to allow him up.

that sounds about right Boaz. Sorry I couldn't remember who had said it.

I think Benn is far too cautious to even attempt to ride a Dragon.

Arsten, no need to apologize for not giving me credit. I've claimed credit before regarding a theory, only to have others point out that not only was I not the first to think of that theory, but that I'd actually commented against the theory! It was not my intent to come across as angry or possessive... I merely meant to point it out. Anyway... I agree about Ben. I don't think he risks his skin lightly.

didn't think you were coming across as angry or possessive, I just believe in giving credit where credit is due.

in Keeping with the thread, I also have a feeling that Daario is going to die pretty soon. He just seems like a dispensible character and with everything else going on, Daario's death might help spur Dany on from leaving Slaver's Bay.

Victarion could be a good candidate to kill off Daario in a fit of jealousy, though I don't see either riding on a Dragon. There is some Ironborn link to part of the Prince prophecy with their obsession with salt (water), but Dany being born on Dragonstone fulfils that part.

Back to the dragons. As only Dany has been connected to the Dragons since they were born (or even young) why would they let someone else ride them? Wargs have connection to animals so John does seem a good candidate, presuming he is not some kind of Undead after the stabbing.
As for Aegon it seems impossible to say now whether he really is Aegon the Targ or not so far. Following Tyrion's advice to go to Westeros before seeing Dany and the Dragons will see him killed anyway.

I like the thinking in regards to the marriage and the continuation of the re-stored Targaryen dynasty.
At the end of ADWD Daenerys gets her moon flow. I think this is the next step in fulfilling the prophecy about her having children. Long/ short, I still think it'll be Daenerys and 2 male Targaryens, cause she'll be able to have children.

As for Daario and Ben Plumm being dragon riders. One of the two will die soon (maybe at the hands of the other!!), while the other is a Lord in waiting in Westeros!

I kinda hope he dies. As much as I find his cocksure manner entertaining, I don't like how the relationship to him stupidifies Dany.
