5.14: The Walking Dead - Spend

The way I see it Glenn and co. get back with Nicholas and try to put him up on trial, with Rick's backing. Deanna doesn't approve, stand-off between the two of them, somehow the Doc gets involved and ends up getting hurt (possibly intentionally), all starts to get out of hand when Darryl / Aiden return with news of the Wolves, guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Nicholas says to Aiden: "You left her. We both did. That's who we are."

Aiden gasps couple of times and then says, "It... it was us. The others before. They didn't panic. We did. It was us."

This I didn't get. When he refers to 'we did it', what exactly does he mean? Seems I've missed something

And tbh I agree with the priest. A nice , peaceful community getting on with life almost the same as before is pretty much taken over by Rick's group who turn their lives upside down. Yes, things aren't perfect, nut they've survived for a pretty long time in normailty. Quite how they've done this (judging by what weve seen of them so far) I've no idea, but they must have been doing something right. Make no mistake, Rick with no regrets will evict (or even kill) Deanna and the townsfolk and take over the place without any hesitation. The only thing stopping him at the moment is that not all of his group would be ok with that.

In a previous episode when he first takes Glenn and co out beyond the walls, Nicholas says that his previous scout group didn't listen to him, they panicked and got themselves killed. Here he admits that he and Aiden were the ones who panicked and got those guys killed...
