Do We Want to Have Another Sekrit Story Exchange for August 2015?

I won't be able to write one in August more than likely. My current SCMA module is like torture...I mean if hell doesn't have formulas for interdependent standard deviation of Lead time with demand and length calculations I think I would almost rather be there...(knock on wood...this is not really true *** :devilish:) But I will keep an eye on this thread just in case I change my mind...which I probably may or won't do. ***see that? Probably may or won't do???? What does that mean :ninja:

but if you are new and eager, do this! @marmalade The very first Sekrit Santa had me write my very first Short Story ever and now I am blessed to have written a lot of them and even have sold a handful of them!

I really want to have a go, but the fact that this is for a single, specific person is a little daunting, I must admit. But I am free in August, so it looks like I might give it a go.

Thanks for the info @Phyrebrat

Well, you can think of it as a story for everyone, just written to one person's request. You're free to post the whole story at the end, for everyone, after all. The main reason someone might choose not to post is if they want to submit it somewhere for publication. And at least one of them has been published -- undoubtedly more, but I can't bring them to mind.

There's a bit if leeway built in, @marmalade if the subject terrifies you. I think "inspired by" gives some wriggle-room, especially if it's your first time.

My first one was the latest one run and I had a lot of fun writing it even though I didn't really know the recipient that well. He seemed to like it, or was too nice to say otherwise. I don't need to know which!

I'll probably join in since the last one was a lot of fun. I may also have time constraints but I'll give it my best shot. (I'm told I work well under deadline pressures! I will neither affirm or deny that rumor.) Last time I received a wonderfully wild tale from Cat's Cradle (not quite finished, but that's okay) and I sent a story to ratsy who claimed that he enjoyed it (though maybe he was just being nice to me). So for all the above reasons, I'll probably join in.

Which one? Sekrit Santa or Beyond Science Fiction?
