What Classic writer(s) Do The Best Job of Portraying Space Travel ?

Niven doesn't dwell on the space travel too much, but the Lying ******* is an interesting ship. I think the Man-Kzin Wars goes into the mechanics of space travel in the Known Universe more deeply, however, that was mainly other authors and not Niven.

I loved the ship The Lying ******* and the whole space journey to the Ring .:cool:(y)
 
Since any form of space travel beyond the primitive version we currently use has no basis in fact, it is a diff one to answer.

Maybe Jules Verne and the giant cannon used to send the men to the moon, that sounds about right?
