Good to remind us of Dover, Tom. I wonder if many sf fans didn't come across Dover editions in public libraries, and then write to the company for its catalog at the address given on the back cover.

I came across an entry on Dover in The Last Whole Earth Catalog, and then wrote to Dover for their mail order catalog. I got about a dozen of their chess books (during the chess craze of the early 1970s), as well as two Burroughs omnibus editions - Mars and Pellucidar. I wish I still had those sewn-binding editions, as they're not easy to get now, because sellers are asking collector prices.
