After Crispy causing me to panic (above), I got stuck in and started typing. I now have roughly 4,000 words of something that's almost finished, but will need serious polishing. Nothing like pressure to get me going.

No real minimum. This is just for fun. Most folks go somewhere between 1000 and 10,000 words, but others do excerpts from full novels. It's entirely up to you.
